VOLLEYBALL DROPS THREE MATCHES AT STEVENSON TOURNAMENT

Stevenson, MD (August 30, 2008) – The Cedar Crest College volleyball team dropped three matches at the Stevenson University Quad Match on Saturday afternoon at the Student Union Gymnasium.

The Falcons dropped the first match, 3-1, to Washington College by scores of 17-25, 25-19, 22-25, and 10-25.  Wesley College took match two, 3-1, with scores of 18-25, 25-13, 26-28, and 22-25, while Stevenson University took match three, 3-0, by scores of 14-25, 9-25, and 10-25. 

Junior Kelly Oakes had a game-high 14 kills in the loss to Wesley, while junior Amanda Dombroski added 14 digs.  Oakes added nine kills and Dombroski posted 19 digs in the setback to Washington, while Dombroski and sophomore Keri Lasky notched seven digs apiece in the loss to Stevenson.

Cedar Crest falls to 0-3 on the season. 

The Falcons will host non-conference opponent Kings College on Wednesday, September 3 at 7:00 p.m. in Lees Gymnasium.
