CEDAR CREST  VOLLEYBALL FALLS IN FIVE SETS TO GWYNEDD-MERCY

Allentown, PA (September 16, 2008) – The Cedar Crest College volleyball team fell, 3-2, in five sets to Gwynedd-Mercy College in Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Tuesday evening in Lees Gymnasium. 

Gwynedd-Mercy won by scores of (26-24, 23-25, 25-20, 20-25, and 15-9).

Junior Kelly Oakes led the Falcons with 10 kills, 13 digs, and two blocks.  Junior Mackenzie Lee added 10 kills, 15 digs, and two service aces.  Sophomore Lauren Seale added 27 assists and a team-high18 digs in the loss.  Junior Danielle Niles added 15 digs, while junior Amanda Dombroski posted 10 digs.

Cedar Crest falls to 1-10 (0-1 CSAC) on the season, while Gwynedd improves to 2-6 overall (1-0 CSAC).

The Falcons will travel to the College of St. Elizabeth on Thursday, September 18 at 7:00 p.m. in non-league action.
