CEDAR CREST BASKETBALL PICKED TO FINISH THIRD IN THE CSAC NORTH DIVISION’S PRE-SEASON POLL
Aston, PA (November 17, 2009) – The Cedar Crest College basketball team was picked to finish third in the Colonial States Athletic Conference North Division by a vote of the league’s head coaches released on Tuesday afternoon.
Gwynedd-Mercy College’s Women’s Basketball team was selected as the pre-season favorite in the CSAC coaches’ poll. The 2008-09 conference runner-up received five (5) of the twelve possible first place votes and earned 135 points in the poll.
Neumann University edged the 2008-09 CSAC champion Cabrini College to finish second overall in the poll and second in the South with 126 points. The Cavaliers earned 121 points with three first place votes.
Immaculata University (91), College of Notre Dame (34) and Rosemont College (24) rounded out the voting in the CSAC South.
Centenary College finished first in the North Division, earning 100 points in the poll. Marywood University was selected as the runner-up in the North Division with 93 points, followed by Cedar Crest (84), Keystone College (54), Baptist Bible College (50) and Philadelphia Biblical University (24).
