OAKES NAMED CEDAR CREST ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Allentown, PA (December 9, 2009) – Senior Kelly Oakes (Wilmington, DE/Delcastle) was named the Cedar Crest Falcon of the week for her outstanding play in the week ending December 8th.

Oakes notched 15 points, 18 boards, and a game-high five assists in the 64-53 win over Wilkes University for the Falcons last Monday evening.

She then added nine points and 11 boards in a 66-51 win over Valley Forge on Thursday night in Lees Gymnasium. 

Cedar Crest is currently 5-2 overall (0-1 CSAC) on the season.  The Falcons will return to action on January 2, 2010 when they travel across the Lehigh Valley to Moravian College for the Starters Moravian Winter Classic.  The game is slated for a 3:00 p.m. start.
