CEDAR CREST’S SUNDERHAUS RANKS FOURTH IN THE NATION IN REBOUNDS PER GAME

Allentown, PA (December 15, 2009) – According to NCAA.com, Cedar Crest College basketball player Lizzy Sunderhaus (Hamilton,OH/Stephen T. Badin) is currently ranked fourth in the nation, averaging 14.0 rebounds per contest this season.

Sunderhaus, a sophomore center, ranks first in the Colonial States Athletic Conference and fourth in the nation grabbing 14.0 boards per game.  She also leads the CSAC in blocked shots per game, averaging 1.6 per contest.  Sunderhaus leads Cedar Crest and ranks seventh in the CSAC, averaging 15.3 points per game.

Sophomore Allison Horn (New Tripoli, PA/Northwestern) ranks second in the CSAC and 28th in the nation, averaging 5.1 assists per outing and also ranks first in the CSAC and 49th in the nation with a 1.8 assist-to-turnover ratio.   

Cedar Crest, which is currently 5-2 overall (0-1 CSAC), will return to action on January 2, 2010 when they travel across the Lehigh Valley to Moravian College for the Starters Moravian Winter Classic.  The game is slated for a 3:00 p.m. start.
