SUNDERHAUS NAMED ALLENTOWN MORNING CALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Allentown, PA (January 13, 2010) – Sophomore Lizzy Sunderhaus (Hamilton,OH/Stephen T. Badin) was named the Allentown Morning Call Player of the Week released by Andre Williams in Wednesday’s edition for her outstanding play on Monday evening at Centenary College. 

Sunderhaus scored 12 points and matched her career-high with a game-high 22 rebounds in a 92-84 loss to Centenary on Monday evening.  She also added five blocks and three assists for the Falcons. 

She currently ranks eighth in the nation in rebounding at 13.8 per game.  Sunderhaus currently leads Cedar Crest in points per game (14.5), rebounds per game (13.8), blocks (22), steals (17), and field goal percentage (46.0%).

Cedar Crest is currently 6-5 (0-2 CSAC) overall on the season.  The Falcons will return to action Wednesday evening when they host Philadelphia Biblical University for a 6:00 p.m. tip-off in Colonial States Athletic Conference play.
