SUNDERHAUS SELECTED TO THE 2010 ESPN THE MAGAZINE ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT TEAM
 
Allentown, PA (February 4, 2010) – Sophomore Lizzy Sunderhaus was selected to the prestigious 2010 ESPN The Magazine College Division Academic All-District Basketball First-Team released by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

As a first-team selection, Sunderhaus will advance to the national College Division Academic All-America ballot.  This marks the first time that an athlete from Cedar Crest College has received this honor. 

Sunderhaus holds a 3.96 grade point average while majoring in genetic engineering and holding a minor in chemistry and a concentration in forensic science. 

Sunderhaus (3.96/Genetic Engineering) was the only first team honoree from the Colonial States Athletic Conference.  Forward Chelsea McTigue (3.71/Exercise Science) of Immaculata University and guard Jen Vasta (3.94/Mathematics & Elementary Education) from Centenary College earned third team recognition in District II.
