CEDAR CREST FIELD HOCKEY FALLS TO TOP-SEEDED CABRINI IN DOUBLE-OVERTIME

Radnor, PA (September 29, 2009) – The Cedar Crest College field hockey team fell, 1-0, to top-ranked Cabrini College in double-overtime on Tuesday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference play.

Cedar Crest’s senior goalie Rachel Orlen (Robbinsville, NJ/Highstown) was outstanding in the cage, posting a season-high 28 saves for the Falcons.  Orlen was unstoppable in the first overtime, making 11 key saves. 

Cabrini College’s Maura Gordon ended the 95-minute game in the second overtime on an unassisted fast break. 
This marks Cedar Crest’s fourth 1-0 loss of the season. 

Cedar Crest falls to 2-7 overall (0-3 CSAC) and will host DeSales University on Thursday, October 1st for a 4:00 p.m. non-league matchup.
