HOLLAND NAMED CEDAR CREST ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Allentown, PA (March 25, 2009) – Senior pitcher Allison Holland (James Buchanan HS/Mercerberg, PA) was named the Cedar Crest College Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 23rd.

Holland struck out 30 batters and allowed just two earned runs in four complete games on the mound, including back-to-back shutouts of Rosemont College and a split with Marywood University.   

Holland also went 3-for-8 from the plate with five RBI’s in the two wins over Rosemont. 

Cedar Crest is currently 5-7 overall (4-2 CSAC) on the season.  The Falcons will take on Neumann College at home on Friday, March 27 at 3:00 p.m. in CSAC action.
