CEDAR CREST SOCCER DROPS HOME OPENER TO ARCADIA UNIVERSITY

Allentown, PA (September 1, 2009) – The Cedar Crest College soccer team dropped its home opener, 8-0, to Arcadia University in non-conference play on Tuesday afternoon.

Arcadia took an early lead ending the first half, 4-0.  Arcadia was led by juniors Dana Faulks and Janelle Jablonski, sophomore Ashley Knueppel, and freshman Lauryn Miller, who each scored two goals.

Cedar Crest senior goalie Heidi Paul had a career-high 42 saves for the Falcons.

The Falcons fall  to 0-1 on the season overall, while Arcadia improves to 1-0.  Cedar Crest will travel to the Bryn Mawr College tournament to play Bryn Mawr College on Saturday, September 5 at 12:00 PM and Sweet Briar College on Sunday, September 6 at 12:00 PM.

The Falcons will return home against Wilson College Thursday, September 17 at 4:00 PM.
