CEDAR CREST SOCCER FALLS TO THE COLLEGE OF NOTRE DAME IN CSAC PLAY
Allentown, PA (October 3, 2009) –The College of Notre Dame handed the Cedar Crest College soccer team an 3-0 loss in Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon.
Ashley Cumberland scored two back-to-back unassisted tallied to give the Gators a 2-0 lead at the 20- and 40-minute marks in the first half of play.
Kelsey Kempf then added an insurance goal at the 68-minute mark in the second half to make it a 3-0 contest.
Daniella Mendez made seven saves in goal for the Falcons.
Cedar Crest held a 21-14 shot advantage and a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.
The Falcons fall to 2-9 overall (0-4 CSAC) on the season, while Notre Dame improves to 2-8 overall (1-3 CSAC).
