CEDAR CREST SOCCER EARNS 2-0 WIN OVER KEYSTONE IN CSAC PLAY
LaPlume, PA (October 6, 2009) –Junior Jennie Huber tallied one goal and one assist to lead the Cedar Crest College soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Keystone College on Tuesday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.
Freshman Daniella Mendez scored 11 minutes into the first half off of a pass from Huber to give the Falcons the early 1-0 lead.
Huber then added an unassisted goal with just over one minute remaining in the contest to make it a 2-0 contest.
Heidi Paul made four saves in goal for the Falcons, while earning the shutout.
Cedar Crest held a 27-10 shot advantage, while Keystone held a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.
The Falcons improve to 3-9 overall (1-4 CSAC) on the season, while Keystone falls to 0-9 overall (0-5 CSAC).
