CEDAR CREST SOCCER FALLS IN SEASON FINALE TO PHILADELPHIA BIBLICAL
Allentown, PA (October 28, 2009)- The Cedar Crest College soccer team dropped its season finale, 4-0, to Philadelphia Biblical University in Colonial States Athletic Conference on Wednesday afternoon.
Seniors Heidi Paul, Brittany Clouser, and C.J. Krise were honored in a ceremony at halftime for playing in the final game of their career.
Summer Mullen put the Crimson Eagles on the board first when she took a pass from Kate Henley at the 22:45 mark in the first half. Philadelphia Biblical took the 1-0 lead into halftime.
Henley then scored back-to-back goals at the 70-minute mark in the second half of play to give the Crimson Eagles a 3-0 lead. Jessica Holt then added an insurance goal for PBU with six minutes remaining in the contest.
Paul made seven saves in goal for the Falcons, while Kristen Lyszczasz made eight saves on the day for PBU.
The Crimson Eagles held a 16-14 advantage in the shot column.
The Falcons end the season at 4-14-1 (1-9 CSAC) overall, while Philadelphia Biblical improves to 5-12-1 (3-7 CSAC) overall.
