MALLERY NAMED CSAC TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Aston, PA (September 28, 2009) –Senior Maria Mallery(Vestal, NY/Seton Central Catholic) was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference Tennis Player of the Week for her outstanding performance in the week ending September 27th. 

Mallery went an impressive 6-0 in No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles action this past week.  She earned wins against Keystone College, Neumann University and Immaculata University. 

Mallery is currently 7-3 in singles action this season, while boasting an impressive 9-1 overall doubles record.

This marks the third time this season a Cedar Crest tennis athlete was honored by the conference office for a weekly award.  Freshman Sarah Wicks and junior Alex Kuebler were both named to the CSAC Honor Roll in the previous two weeks. 

The Falcons are 8-3 (5-1 CSAC) on the season.  Cedar Crest will travel to Penn State Berks on Monday, September 28th for a 4:00 p.m. non-league match.
