VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO KING’S COLLEGE IN SEASON OPENER

Wilkes Barre, PA (September 1, 2009) – The Cedar Crest College volleyball team dropped its season opener, 3-0, to King’s College on Tuesday evening.

King’s topped Cedar Crest, 25-14 in game one, 25-10 in game two, and 25-16 in the third game.

Senior Kelly Oakes led the Falcons with a team-high eight kills and a team-high nine digs.  Junior Lauren Seale added a team-high nine assists.  Senior Amanda Dombroski added five kills in the loss for the Falcons.

Cedar Crest drops to 0-1 overall on the season, while King’s improves to 1-0.

The Falcons will play Valley Forge Christian College on Thursday, September 3 at 7:00 p.m. in non-league action.
