CEDAR CREST VOLLEYBALL TOPS IMMACULATA IN FIVE SETS

Immaculata, PA (September 23, 2009) – Senior Amanda Dombroski (Orwigsburg, PA/Blue Mountain) posted 13 kills and 20 digs to lead the Cedar Crest College volleyball team to a 3-2 victory over Immaculata University on Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference play.

Cedar Crest topped the Mighty Macs in five sets by scores of: 24-26, 25-16, 25-14, 23-25, and 15-12. 

Senior Kelly Oakes (Wilmington, DE/Delcastle HS) notched nine kills and 17 digs, while senior Mackenzie Lee (Bar Harbor, ME/Mount Desert Island) added 13 kills and 12 digs for Cedar Crest.  Junior setter Lauren Seale (Wilmington, DE/Wilmington Christian) posted a season-high 34 assists for the Falcons in the win. 

Sophomore Marie Pozella (Athens, PA/Athens) added a career-high 12 digs, while sophomore Katey Dauble (Allentown, PA/William Allen) posted a game-high five service aces. 

Jayme Lenosky led the Mighty Macs with 12 kills and 20 digs. 

The Falcons improve to 4-7 overall (1-1 CSAC) on the season, while Immaculata University falls to 2-9 overall (1-1 CSAC).
