NEUMANN VOLLEYBALL HANDS CEDAR CREST 3-1 LOSS IN CSAC PLAY

Allentown, PA (October 1, 2009) – The Cedar Crest College volleyball team dropped a 3-1 Colonial States Athletic Conference match to Neumann University on Thursday evening in Lees Gymnasium. 

Neumann topped Cedar Crest in four sets by scores of: 25-17, 17-25, 25-14, and 25-13. 

Senior Kelly Oakes (Wilmington, DE/Delcastle HS) led the Falcons with nine kills and eight digs, while senior Mackenzie Lee (Bar Harbor, ME/Mount Desert Island) added seven kills and 12 digs for Cedar Crest. 

Junior setter Lauren Seale (Wilmington, DE/Wilmington Christian) posted a team-high 23 assists for the Falcons in the win.

Ashley Mathis led the Knights with a game-high 17 kills and seven kills.

The Falcons fall to 5-8 overall (2-2 CSAC) on the season, while Neumann University improves to 5-15 overall (4-1 CSAC).
