CEDAR CREST VOLLEYBALL WINS THIRD-STRAIGHT IN VICTORY OVER NOTRE DAME

Allentown, PA (October 10, 2009) – The Cedar Crest College volleyball team won its third-straight contest in a 3-1 victory over the College of Notre Dame in Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

Cedar Crest topped Notre Dame in four sets by scores of: 25-21, 21-25, 25-19, and 25-17. 

Senior Mackenzie Lee (Bar Harbor, ME/Mount Desert Island) posted 11 kills and a team-high 16 digs to lead the Falcons in the CSAC win.  Junior setter Lauren Seale (Wilmington, DE/Wilmington Christian) posted a game-high 36 assists and had 10 digs for Cedar Crest.

Senior Kelly Oakes (Wilmington, DE/Delcastle) added a team-high 13 kills in the victory, while sophomore Katey Dauble (Allentown, PA/William Allen) added 10 digs for the Falcons.

Notre Dame’s Catherine Subrizi led the Gators with 16 kills and 18 digs.

The Falcons improve to 8-9 overall (4-2 CSAC) on the season, while the College of Notre Dame falls to 3-15 overall (0-7 CSAC).
