LEE NAMED CEDAR CREST ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Allentown, PA (October 13, 2009) – Senior volleyball player Mackenzie Lee (Bar Harbor, ME/Mount Desert Island HS) was named the Cedar Crest Athlete of the Week for her outstanding play in the week ending October 11th.

Lee posted a team-high 12 kills and eight digs to lead the Falcons in a 3-0 win over Rosemont College on Wednesday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.

She then posted 11 kills and a team-high 16 digs to lead the Falcons in a 3-1 win over the College of Notre Dame on Saturday afternoon. 

Lee, who is ranked 34th in the nation in aces per set, helped lead the Falcons to a 2-0 CSAC week and has helped set Cedar Crest up for a playoff run.  The Falcons are currently tied for fifth place in the conference with five CSAC games remaining. The top six teams in the CSAC make the playoffs.

The Falcons, who are currently 8-9 overall (4-2 CSAC) will host Marywood University on Thursday, October 15th for a 7:00 p.m. CSAC contest.
