MARYWOOD VOLLEYBALL HANDS CEDAR CREST 3-1 LOSS IN CSAC BATTLE

Allentown, PA (October 15, 2009) – The Cedar Crest College volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Marywood University in Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Thursday evening.

The Pacers edged the Falcons by scores of: 25-17, 25-17, 23-25, and 25-23.

Senior Mackenzie Lee (Bar Harbor, ME/Mount Desert Island) posted a team-high 11 kills and added11 digs to lead the Falcons in the CSAC loss.  Junior setter Lauren Seale (Wilmington, DE/Wilmington Christian) posted a team-high 24 assists and had nine digs.  Seale also added a game-high four services aces for the hosts.

Senior Amanda Dombroski (Orwigsburg, PA/Blue Mountain) led Cedar Crest on the defensive end with 12 digs

Marywood’s Emily Fillman notched a game-high 14 kills and added 11 digs to lead the visitors.

The Falcons fall to 8-10 overall (4-3 CSAC) on the season, while Marywood improves its record to 7-11 overall (5-3 CSAC). 

Cedar Crest will host Cabrini College on Saturday, September 17th for a 1:00 p.m. CSAC match. Cedar Crest will be hosting a "Dig Pink" match to create awareness for Breast Cancer. Please come out and support the volleyball team for this good cause.
