CEDAR CREST VOLLEYBALL POSTS 3-0 WIN OVER PENN STATE ABINGTON

Abington, PA (October 22, 2009) – The Cedar Crest College volleyball team handed Penn State Abington a 3-0 loss in non-league volleyball action on Thursday evening.   

Cedar Crest topped Penn State in three sets by scores of: 25-12, 25-8, and 25-18. 

Junior setter Lauren Seale (Wilmington, DE/Wilmington Christian) posted a game-high 20 assists, while senior Kelly Oakes (Wilmington, DE/Delcastle) added a team-high seven digs.  Senior Mackenzie Lee (Bar Harbor, ME/Mount Desert Island) posted six kills and a game-high four service aces in the win.

Christina Fuentes led Penn State Abington with a game-high seven kills.

The Falcons improve to 9-11 overall on the season, while Penn State Abington falls to 0-21 overall on the season.  Cedar Crest will host Arcadia University and Misericordia University on Saturday, October 24th for 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. non-league matchups.
