CEDAR CREST VOLLEYBALL DROPS TWO MATCHES TO ARCADIA AND MISERICORDIA
Allentown, PA (October 24, 2009) – The Cedar Crest College volleyball team dropped two non-league matches to Arcadia University and Misericordia University on Saturday afternoon in Lees Gymnasium.
Arcadia topped Cedar Crest, 3-2, by scores of 25-15, 29-25, 20-25, 27-25, and 15-13. Misericordia topped Cedar Crest, 3-0, by scores of 25-18, 25-16, and 25-23.
Junior setter Lauren Seale (Wilmington, DE/Wilmington Christian) posted a season-high 38 assists in the loss to Arcadia, while senior Amanda Dombroski (Orwigsburg, PA/Blue Mountain) tallied a season-high 18 kills and a team-high 13 digs for Cedar Crest. Kelly Oakes (Wilmington, DE/Delcastle) added 10 kills and six digs, while senior Mackenzie Lee (Bar Harbor, ME/Mount Desert Island) posted 12 kills and 12 digs.
Lee led Cedar Crest in the loss to Misericordia with 17 digs and six kills. Dombroski added a team-high nine kills in the loss for the Falcons. Seale added 19 assists and 11 digs.
The Falcons fall to 9-13 overall on the season and will travel to Gwynedd-Mercy College on Tuesday, October 27th for a 7:00 p.m. Colonial States Athletic Conference match.
