CEDAR CREST VOLLEYBALL FALLS IN FIVE SETS TO GWYNEDD-MERCY


Gwynedd Valley, PA (October 27, 2009) –
The Cedar Crest College volleyball team fell in five sets to Gwynedd-Mercy in Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Tuesday evening at the Griffin Complex.    
   
Gwynedd topped Cedar Crest, 3-2, by scores of 25-14, 21-25, 25-22, 20-25, and 15-10.

Junior setter Lauren Seale (Wilmington, DE/Wilmington Christian) led Cedar Crest all over the floor with 22 assists, nine kills, and eight digs. She boasted a game-high .667 hitting percentage in the loss for the Falcons.  Senior Kelly Oakes (Wilmington, DE/Delcastle) posted a team-high 10 kills and 11 digs, while senior Amanda Dombroski (Orwigsburg, PA/Blue Mountain) tallied a game-high 18 digs.

Kelsey Craig led the Griffins with a game-high 16 kills on the night, while teammate Nicole Burke added 16 digs in the victory.

Cedar Crest falls to 9-14 (4-5 CSAC) overall on the season, while Gwynedd improves to 5-22 overall (2-7 CSAC).  Cedar Crest will travel to Clarks Summit to take on Baptist Bible College in CSAC action on Thursday evening for a 7:00 p.m. match.
