CEDAR CREST VOLLEYBALL WINS SECOND CONTEST IN A ROW WITH WIN OVER ST. ELIZABETH

Allentown, PA (September 5, 2009) – The Cedar Crest College volleyball team won its second-straight contest with a 3-0 victory over the College of St. Elizabeth in non-conference play on Saturday afternoon in Lees Gymnasium.

Cedar Crest defeated the Screaming Eagles by scores of 25-22, 25-10, and 25-8.

Senior Mackenzie Lee (Bar Harbor, ME/Mount Desert Island HS) led the Falcons with a team-high eight kills, a game-high six aces, and four digs.  Junior Lauren Seale (Wilmington, DE/Wilmington Christian HS) added a team-high 19 assists, two aces, and six digs. 

Senior Kelly Oakes (Wilmington, DE/Delcastle Tech HS) added four service aces and four digs in the win for the Falcons.

Cedar Crest improves to 2-1 overall on the season, while St. Elizabeth falls to 0-1 overall.

The Falcons will host Lancaster Bible College on Friday, September 11 at 6:00 p.m. in non-league play.
