WILLIAM PATTERSON TOPS CEDAR CREST IN VOLLEYBALL ACTION

Wayne, NJ (September 17, 2009) – The Cedar Crest College volleyball team fell, 3-0, to William Patterson University on Tuesday evening in non-league action.

William Patterson, which improves to 5-2 overall with the victory, topped the Falcons in three sets, 25-17, 25-14, and 25-16.

Megan Maher led William Patterson with a game-high 11 kills, while Kelly Helfrich added nine kills and nine digs in the win.

Junior setter Lauren Seale (Wilmington, DE/Wilmington Christian) posted a game-high 16 assists in the loss for the Falcons.

Senior Kelly Oakes (Wilmington, DE/Delcastle HS) posted a team-high eight kills, while senior Amanda Dombroski (Orwigsburg, Pa/Blute Mountain HS) added a team-high seven digs for the Falcons. 

The Falcons, who fall to 3-3 overall, will travel to Farleigh Dickinson University on Saturday, September 19th to take on Ramapo College at 11:00 a.m., Rutgers-Camden at 1:00 p.m., and Farleigh Dickinson at 3:00 p.m.
