CEDAR CREST DROPS THREE GAMES AT FDU TOURNAMENT

Madison, NJ (September 19, 2009) – The Cedar Crest College volleyball team dropped three games at the Farleigh Dickinson University Tournament on Saturday afternoon in non-league action.

In game one, Ramapo topped Cedar Crest, 3-0, by scores of 25-16, 25-16, and 25-14.  In game two, Rutgers-Camden outlasted the Falcons, 3-1, by scores of 25-19, 24-26, 20-25, and 17-25.  In the final game, FDU topped Cedar Crest, 3-0, by scores of 25-13, 25-20, and 25-13. 

Senior Amanda Dombroski (Orwigsburg, Pa/Blute Mountain HS) led Cedar Crest with a team-high 11 digs against Ramapo, while senior Mackenzie Lee (Bar Harbor, ME/Mount Desert Island) added five digs and a team-high three service aces. 

Lee led the Falcons in game two against Rutgers-Camden with 10 kills, 12 digs, and three service aces.  Senior Kelly Oakes (Wilmington, DE/Delcastle HS) added eight kills and 10 digs in the loss.  Junior setter Lauren Seale (Wilmington, DE/Wilmington Christian) posted a team-high 18 assists for the Falcons.

Lee led Cedar Crest again in game three against host FDU with a team-high eight kills.

The Falcons, who fall to 3-6 overall, will travel to Philadelphia Biblical University on Wednesday, September 21st in Colonial States Athletic Conference.
