CEDAR CREST CROSS COUNTRY TAKES SIXTH PLACE FINISH AT HAVERFORD TIME TRIAL

Haverford, PA (September 1, 2009) – The Cedar Crest College cross country team posted a sixth place finish overall at the Haverford College time trial meet on Tuesday evening.

Junior Katie Hartman (New Ringgold, PA/Tamaqua) led the Falcons with a three mile time of 20:33 for a 19th place finish overall.  Senior Tasha Jones (Kane, PA/Kane) was next for the Falcons earning a 41st place finish overall in a time of 22:35.

Philadelphia University took first place in the meet with a team total of 33 points, while Temple University grabbed second place with 57 total points.  Haverford College finished in the third spot with 63 points and LaSalle University took fourth with 83 team points.  Bryn Mawr College finished just ahead of Cedar Crest in fifth place with a team total of 120 points.

Cedar Crest will travel over to Lehigh University for the Lehigh Valley Championships on Friday, September 4th for a 5:30 p.m. start.
