CEDAR CREST CROSS COUNTRY TAKES SIXTH AT NEVINS INVITATIONAL
East Stroudsburg, PA (October 24, 2009) – Junior Katie Hartman (New Ringgold, PA/Tamaqua) led the Cedar Crest College Cross Country team to a sixth place finish out of 15 teams at the Pete Nevins Invitational hosted by East Stroudsburg University on Saturday afternoon.
Hartman, who has finished first for the Falcons in all seven meets this season, finished in sixth place overall out of 88 runners in a personal best time of 20:29. Junior Kristen Geisinger (Phillipsburg, NJ/Phillipsburg HS) finished in 37th place overall in a time of 22:27.
East Stroudsburg won the overall women’s meet with a team total of 57 points. Delaware Valley College took second, while St. Peter’s College, Drew University, and Baptist Bible College took third, fourth, and fifth respectively.
Cedar Crest will next travel to the Colonial States Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday, November 7th for a 10:00 a.m. race held on the campus of Immaculata University as a part of the CSAC Fall Festival.
