CEDAR CREST LACROSSE FALLS TO CABRINI IN CSAC PLAY


Allentown, PA (April 6, 2010) – The Cedar Crest College lacrosse team dropped a 19-2 decision to Cabrini College in Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Tuesday afternoon.

Cabrini came out firing, scoring three unanswered goals in the first seven minutes of the contest.  Cedar Crest freshman Candace Boardwine took a pass from Rachel Rush at the 21:03 mark to make it a 3-1 contest. 

Cabrini then answered with six more goals before sophomore Tara Fikes took a pass from senior Amanda Dombroski to make it a 10-2 contest in favor of the Cavaliers.

Cedar Crest would not score again in the contest and Cabrini tallied nine unanswered goals in the second half of play. 

Cabrini’s Amanda Alexandrowicz tallied a game-high five goals and one assist  to lead the Cavaliers. 

The Falcons fall to 3-4 overall (0-3 CSAC), while Cabrini improves to 5-5 overall (4-0 CSAC).

Cedar Crest will take on the College of St. Elizabeth in non-league action on Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
