CEDAR CREST SOFTBALL DROPS TWO GAMES TO IMMACULATA IN CSAC ACTION
Immaculata, PA (April 6, 2010) – The Cedar Crest College softball team dropped two games to Immaculata University in Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Tuesday afternoon.
The Falcons dropped game one, 6-5, in seven innings and fell, 18-4, in five innings in the nightcap.
Freshman pitcher Samantha Kitts took the loss for the Falcons in game one, striking out three batters and allowing just two earned runs.
Freshman Lauren Salge belted a double, going 1-for-3 from the plate and hitting in three runs in the contest. Junior Tammy Gruzdis and junior Amy Stumpff each went 2-for-4 in game one.
Kitts took the loss in game two, allowing nine earned runs in just 2.2 innings of work. Senior Alyssa Bonner was hot at the plate for the Falcons, going 2-for-2 with one run scored and one RBI.
