SUNDERHAUS RANKED IN NCAA STATISTICS AFTER 12 GAMES

Indianapolis, IN (January 19, 2011) - Cedar Crest College women's basketball player Lizzy Sunderhaus (Hamilton, OH/Stephen T. Badin) is nationally ranked in several categories in the fourth NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Ranking Summary of the 2010-11 season, and the Falcons are ranked in two team categories.

Through games of January 16th, Sunderhaus is ranked 3rd in the nation in rebounds per game with an average of 15.8, and 13th in points per game with an average of 20.3. She has pulled down 190 rebounds and scored 243 points in 12 games this season.

The junior center is also ranked 68th in field-goal percentage at 50.0% and 69th in free-throw percentage at 82.6%, shooting 85 of 170 from the field and 71 of 86 from the stripe. Finally, she is ranked 3rd in the nation in double-doubles, having reached double figures in two statistical categories 11 times in 12 games.

Thanks to Sunderhaus' hard work the Falcons are ranked 74th in the nation in rebound margin, averaging 5.3 rebounds to the good per game. Cedar Crest is also ranked 43rd in three-point field goal defense, holding opponents to just 25.7% shooting from beyond the arc.

Cedar Crest is 5-8 overall and 1-6 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. The Falcons will return to action on Saturday, January 22nd, in a home game against CSAC opponent Gwynedd-Mercy at 1:00 p.m. The game will be carried live on www.pennatlantic.com.
