DESALES BLANKS SOCCER TEAM 7-0
Center Valley, PA (September 5, 2010) – Cedar Crest Head Soccer Coach Nicole Pietrobon today discovered the truth in the saying "You can't go home again," as her alma mater DeSales University welcomed her back with a homecoming shutout. Prior to this season, Pietrobon also served as an assistant at DeSales.
The powerful Bulldogs, starting the season with three consecutive shutouts, opened their season 3-0 for the first time in a decade. They overwhelmed a young and undermanned Falcon team by scoring all seven goals in the first half and allowing only two shots in the game. Cedar Crest sophomore goalkeeper Steph Carroll (Burlington, CT/Lewis S. Mills) got a workout in the goal with 10 saves in another complete game.
Cedar Crest drops to 0-2 on the season, while DeSales improves to 3-0.
The Falcons will play at non-league opponent Arcadia University on Wednesday, September 8, at 4:00 p.m.
