ARCADIA DOWNS CEDAR CREST SOCCER TEAM

Glenside, PA (September 8, 2010) – Cedar Crest had the misfortune of being the inaugural victim of a powerful Arcadia women's soccer squad making their first start on a new home field.

Arcadia scored early and often, with seven different players getting on the board in the 8-0 affair. The Falcons were set back on their heels from the onset and were never able to regain their composure against the Knights' stifling offense. Adding insult to injury, a total of thirty Arcadia players saw time in the game while Cedar Crest, already short-handed, was without the services of senior Brooke Biloholowski (Woodbridge, NJ/Cardinal McCarrick) for this game. Cedar Crest sophomore goalkeeper Steph Carroll (Burlington, CT/Lewis S. Mills) had 14 saves in a complete game.

Cedar Crest drops to 0-3 on the season, while Arcadia improves to 2-2.

The Falcons will finally open at home with a non-conference game against Rutgers University - Camden on Saturday, September 11, at 1:00 p.m.
