CEDAR CREST DROPPED IN CONFERENCE OPENER AT CABRINI

Radnor, PA (September 18, 2010) – Defending Colonial States Athletic Conference women's soccer champions Cabrini College began their title defense right where they left off with a dominating 7-0 victory over visiting Cedar Crest College.

Six different Cavaliers scored in the outing, with Alex Tralie netting two goals and an assist. Cabrini scored early and often, taking a 3-0 lead into halftime, then scoring again in the opening minute of the second half. The Cavs outshot the visitors 43-1. Senior Kelly Oakes (Ocean View, DE/Delcastle Technical) had the Falcons' sole shot for the game, and sophomore goalkeeper Daniella Mendez (Cedar Grove, NJ/Montclair Kimberly Academy) had 20 saves in a complete game.

Cedar Crest drops to 0-6 overall, 0-1 CSAC, on the season, while Cabrini improves to 6-1-0, 1-0 CSAC.

The Falcons will next travel north to Baptist Bible College for a conference game on Thursday, September 23, at 4:00 p.m.
