BAPTIST BIBLE TOPS CEDAR CREST IN ROAD LOSS
Clarks Summit, PA (September 23, 2010) – Baptist Bible put on a dominating performance at home today, defeating CSAC foe Cedar Crest 10-0.
The Defenders scored four minutes into the game then netted two more in the first half to go up 3-0 at halftime. The Falcons lost their grip on the game early in the second half as Baptist Bible scored three goals within the first five minutes to put things out of reach. Four more shots found their way into the goal before the game ended, although sophomore goalkeeper Daniella Mendez (Cedar Grove, NJ/Montclair Kimberly Academy) had 11 saves in a complete game.
Cedar Crest drops to 0-7 overall and 0-2 CSAC on the season. Baptist Bible improves to 4-3 and begins CSAC play at 1-0.
The Falcons will host Gwynedd-Mercy College on Saturday, September 25, at 1:00 p.m.
