NOTRE DAME DEFEATS CEDAR CREST IN THREE STRAIGHT SETS
Baltimore, MD (September 24, 2010) - For the Cedar Crest College volleyball team, it was a long drive for a short match as the Gators of the College of Notre Dame won their first CSAC match of the season by vanquishing the Falcons in three straight. In addition to the loss, traffic woes on the trip down led to a delayed start and a late night trip home.
Senior Lauren Seale (Wilmington, DE/Wilmington Christian) had 10 assists and five kills. Freshman Amber Wehry (Klingerstown, PA/Tri-Valley) led the team in kills with six and had four digs. Junior Katey Dauble (Allentown, PA/Wm Allen) led the team in digs with 10, while freshman Kamala Meena Sutton (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) had nine.
Cedar Crest drops to 1-8 on the season and 1-2 in the CSAC. Notre Dame is now is 8-2 and 1-1 in the conference.
The Falcons will play a conference match at Cabrini on Tuesday, September 28, at 7:00 p.m.
