FALCON VOLLEYBALL DOWNS ST. ELIZABETH

Morristown, NJ (October 6, 2010) - Cedar Crest took home a much-needed 3-1 victory tonight from their meeting with non-league opponent the College of St. Elizabeth. The Falcons won 3-1 with scores of 25-20, 23-25, 25-15 and 25-20.

Freshman Kamala Meena Sutton (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) had a good night, leading the team in kills with nine to go along with nine digs. Freshman Chelsea Bodder (Perkasie, PA/Faith Christian Academy) had eight kills and an impressive .375 hitting percentage, and freshman Amber Wehry (Klingerstown, PA/Tri-Valley) rounded out the youth movement with seven kills and six digs. Senior Danielle Niles (Glens Falls, NY/Glens Falls) led the team in digs with 10 and senior Lauren Seale (Wilmington, DE/Wilmington Christian) had a good night with 21 assists.

Cedar Crest is now 3-11 overall and 1-5 in the conference, while St. Elizabeth still looks for their first win.

After a few days off for fall break, the Falcons will return to action on Thursday, October 14th, in a non-league game against Penn State Harrisburg. Match time is 7:00 p.m.
