PBU CLIPS CEDAR CREST IN OPENER OF VOLLEYBALL TRI-MATCH
Allentown, PA (October 16, 2010) - It was a rude awakening this morning for the Cedar Crest volleyball team, who lost to CSAC opponent PBU in three sets by the scores of 25-10, 25-13, and 25-18.
The Falcons managed only 19 kills during the match, including seven by freshman Amber Wehry (Klingerstown, PA/Tri-Valley), who also had a .353 hitting percentage, and six by freshman Denise Castillo (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle). Senior Lauren Seale (Wilmington, DE/Wilmington Christian) had 12 assists and 14 digs, and junior Katey Dauble (Allentown, PA/Wm Allen) led the team in digs with 16.
Cedar Crest drops to 4-12 overall and 1-6 in the conference. PBU improves to 10-13 and 4-3 in the conference.
The Falcons will play the back end of the tri-match against Misericordia University this afternoon at 3:00.
