CONFERENCE LOSS FOR CEDAR CREST AT NEUMANN
Aston, PA (October 18, 2010) - Cedar Crest's young volleyball team gained some valuable experience last night at one of the CSAC top-level teams, as the Falcons were roughed up by Neumann in three straight sets. The scores were 25-5, 25-12 and 25-12.
Cedar Crest couldn't produce much offensively against the smothering play of the Knights, who twice produced 8-0 runs and had 15 aces. Senior Lauren Seale (Wilmington, DE/Wilmington Christian) led Cedar Crest in kills with just five. Seale also had eight assists, three digs and one of the Falcons' three aces on the night. Freshman Kamala Meena Sutton (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) had four kills, and freshman Amber Wehry (Klingerstown, PA/Tri-Valley) had two kills and led the team in digs with eight.
Cedar Crest's record is now 4-14 overall and 1-7 in the conference, while Neumann improves to 11-14 and 6-2 in the conference.
Next up the Falcons play another CSAC road match at Marywood on Wednesday, October 20, at 7:00 p.m.
