Assessment of Students for Field Placements
Students enrolled in programs which require the completion of a field practicum or clinical experiences shall be subject to an assessment by the Graduate Program Director and/or explicitly designated faculty teaching in the program.
The purpose of the review is to assess whether the candidate possesses the interpersonal skills, maturity of judgment, and demeanor to work with the public in a professional setting. This assessment, along with other appropriate indicators of student character and performance, are to be utilized as the basis for determining whether a student should be permitted to register for a field placement.
