Graduation Rehearsal

Date: Wednesday, May 11, 2016
Time: 5 p.m.
Location: Quad between Moore and Curtis Halls

Graduation Rehearsal is a mandatory exercise that will prepare you for what to expect during the Commencement Ceremony.

At Graduation Rehearsal, we will review how to dress in your academic regalia (your cap, gown, and hood), the timing for Commencement, name pronunciation, and answer any questions graduates may have. The Senior Class President will also briefly address the class with any additional announcements.

Wearing or bringing your cap and gown is not required.

Graduation Rehearsal is anticipated to last approximately 90 minutes.

Senior Surprise

This is an annual custom of Cedar Crest College surprising its graduates with a night out to celebrate their upcoming Graduation.

Baccalaureate Ceremony

Date: Friday, May 13, 2016
Time: 4 p.m.
Location: Lees Hall Gymnasium *please note the location change*

The Graduation celebrations begin with our Baccalaureate Ceremony at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 13. During this beautiful non-denominational opening service, graduating students pause and reflect over their time and memories here at Cedar Crest. Baccalaureate includes opening and closing prayers, multi-faith readings from students, and wonderful music to set the tone of the day. This ceremony is the perfect ceremony to precede Commencement.

Dinner & Awards Ceremony

Date: Friday, May 13, 2016
Time: Dinner at 5 p.m., Awards Ceremony at 6 p.m.
Location: Canova Commons Dining Hall and Samuels Theatre (respectively), Tompkins College Center

Cedar Crest College cordially invites graduating students and their families and friends to the Class of 2016 Dinner and Awards Ceremony!

Following the Baccalaureate Ceremony, the evening of celebration continues with the Class of 2016 Dinner at 5 p.m. followed by the Awards Ceremony at 6 p.m. in Alumnae Hall Theatre. Faculty, staff, students, families, and friends are invited to join us as we recognize the many accomplishments of the graduating students of 2016!

Dinner is 1 meal swipe or $10 per person. View the invitation here.

Students can RSVP for themselves and guests on the Graduation Information page on MyCedarCrest on the Student Affairs tab. Faculty and staff can email to RSVP.

There is no cost to attend the Awards Ceremony. All are welcome to attend.

Nursing Pinning Ceremony & Reception

Date: Saturday, May 14, 2016
Time: 2 p.m. (immediately following the Commencement Ceremony)
Location: Lees Hall

Congratulate the accomplishments of the nursing graduates during Cedar Crest's 38th Pinning Ceremony. Witness the graduates as they are greeted by faculty and peers and welcomed into the nursing profession.
