Raindrop
by Kaylah Baylor
The world,
Breezes by in a wave of normality.
Unchanged, even as the Earth shifts.
Then, the sky hiccups,
Letting something:
Unnoticed and unimportant escape.
As it travels, it accumulates many things,
From what surrounds it.
Traveling faster,
Its echoing melody calls to others’,
Who want to be free.
Twirling, then blazing a path,
Making a way for beauty
And those who resemble it.
It is not much larger in size, but it is in spirit,
So it demands change in its presence.
Something, that just slipped through the cracks of the sky.
Managed to shift the world.
Just one tiny,
Raindrop.
