Cedar Crest Appoints Director for School of Adult and Graduate Education
Allentown, Pa. (Sept. 19, 2011)—Bonnie Sofarelli has joined Cedar Crest College as the director of admissions for the new School of Adult and Graduate Education (SAGE). Sofarelli brings a wealth of college admissions experience to the position at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Prior to taking the position at Cedar Crest, she spent five years in admissions at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. She also worked in admissions for IESE Business School, based in Barcelona, Spain, where she was responsible for the marketing of a global executive MBA program.
SAGE, which includes 50 bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, is a major component of Cedar Crest College’s strategic plan, and will be launched on Oct. 19. It is the next chapter in the College’s 43-year commitment to adult education, and one Sofarelli eagerly anticipates.
“I took a great interest in Cedar Crest College given its commitment to student learning, educating the whole student and preparing students for life in a global community,” she said. “I enjoy working with adult students and helping them to identify and reach their educational and career objectives, and SAGE provides the ideal environment in which to accomplish this.”
Sofarelli earned her B.S. degree in psychology from Union College (N.Y.) and will graduate later this year with an MBA from Westminster College. She resides in Nazareth, Pa.
