Allentown, Pa. (Sept. 28, 2012)— Cedar Crest College will welcome the MarchFourth Marching Band to campus this Saturday, Sept. 29, from 1–2:30 p.m. in the quad on Cedar Crest’s campus. Featured on America’s Got Talent, MarchFourth’s high-stepping stilt walkers, fire dancers and assorted acrobats will provide a highly visual medley of musical and visual energy for the College’s annual Fall Family Weekend (Perfect for the last 15 seconds of any newscast or as a standalone feature photo! Please see for yourself in the video below).
Hailing from Portland, Ore., MarchFourth Marching Band consists of roughly 20 members and includes a horn section, percussion section, electric guitar and bass guitar, not to mention the visual components of dancers, acrobats and stilt walkers. The show will take audiences on a musical and visual journey from the swamps of Louisiana to the gypsy camps of Eastern Europe to Africa by way of Brazil, echoing the deepest grooves of American funk, rock, and jazz.
The band formed in 2003 and based their name off of the exact day the group came together—March 4. The band has performed with many well-known artists including Blink 182, Fleetwood Mac, KISS and No Doubt.
