REPRESENTATIVE JENNIFER MANN TO SPEAK AT
CEDAR CREST COLLEGE TODAY
Allentown, PA (April 6, 2004) - Jennifer Mann, Democrat representing the 132nd Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, will be a guest speaker at Cedar Crest College and will be talking about education, school advocacy and legislation on Tuesday, April 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the Harmon Hall of Peace.
Currently in her third term of office, Mann places issues such as economic revitalization, child safety, education and the quality of women's health care in Pennsylvania on the top of her agenda. "As a public servant, I feel that I have a responsibility to tackle the tough issues that affect the Lehigh Valley and Pennsylvania," says Mann.
In her legislative district, she is a member of the Mayor's cabinet for Community and Economic Development. She also sits on the board of the Allentown Business Council of the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Allentown School District Community Council, the Allentown Police Athletic League, Arthritis Foundation of the Lehigh Valley, Board of Governors-Allentown Business School, Allentown Art Museum Board of Associates, Muhlenberg College Board of Associates, Cedar Crest College Board of Associates; the advisory board of the Law and Law Enforcement Academy of the Allentown School District and the William Allen High School Academy Advisory Board; and is on the foundation board of directors of Lehigh Carbon Community College. She sits on the Honorary Board of Junior Achievement of the Lehigh Valley; and serves as secretary/treasurer of the Foxwood Meadow Condominium Association.
Rep. Mann is a lifelong resident of Allentown and a 1987 graduate of William Allen High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government and Economics from Lehigh University in 1991. Rep. Mann is the former owner of Instant Access, a wireless communications company, which she sold after being elected to office.
