Allentown, PA (April 12, 2006) – Creativity is one of the most sought after qualities that employers look for in job candidates. In today's ever-evolving world, even one creative idea can give a company or business a critical edge over its competition. To help extract and hone the creativity within the Cedar Crest community, the College's business department, in conjunction with the Lehigh Valley Ad Club, is hosting a presentation and workshop from local business leaders and creativity gurus Pat Lincoln and Bill Childs. The presentation takes place on Thursday, April 13th from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. in the Alumnae Hall Little Theatre.

"Creativity is probably one of the most overused words in the English language," says Bill Childs, vice president and creative director at Forge Marketing Communications. "People today have to be able to uncover new ways of doing things, that's where creativity comes in. Our presentation helps people discover how they can harness their own creativity."

The presentation breaks down the essential elements and the process of what makes people creative. And through exercises, visual examples and discussion, the presenters hope to leave attendees with a clear understanding of what creativity is and how it can improve their careers and ultimately their lives.

Pat Lincoln is general sales manager at Nassau Broadcasting. He, along with Bill Childs, co-chairs the education committee of the Lehigh Valley Ad Club. Together, they have lectured about creativity at many colleges and universities in the area. As part of the presentation, the Lehigh Valley Ad Club will donate $500 to the Cedar Crest College business department.
