ONE CREDIT COURSE EXPLORES WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP: THE SEVEN TRANSFORMATIONS OF LEADERSHIP
Allentown, PA (April 13, 2006) – The Center for Lifelong Learning at Cedar Crest College will offer a one-credit special topics course aimed at exploring "Women in Leadership: The Seven Transformations of Leadership." The course will be held on Saturday, May 20 and Saturday, June 3, 2006 from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in Curtis Hall at Cedar Crest College. The instructor for the class is Arlene Peltola.
This one-credit seminar is designed to examine the seven transformations of leadership and how leaders interpret their surroundings and react when their power or safety is challenged. Seven distinct “action logic” categories will be discussed – Opportunists, Diplomats, Experts, Achievers, Individualists, Strategists, and Alchemists – and each will be analyzed for performance. The seminar will also examine the four primary components of learning and achieving – IQ, EQ, PQ, and SQ and their value in leadership.
