Allentown, PA (April 20, 2005) – The Cedar Crest Chamber Music Series presents Sinfonia Solisti in a program of J.S. Bach on May 1, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. in the Harmon Hall of Peace.

The program selections include the Violin Sonata in E, the Flute Sonata in E, the Cello Sonata in D and The Trio Sonata from the Musical Offering. Performers are Rebecca Brown, violin, Robin Kani, flute, Deborah Davis, cello and Allan Birney, harpsichord.

Rebecca Brown is currently on the music faculty of Cedar Crest College and is principal second violin with the Pennsylvania Sinfonia Orchestra. She also performs as a section first violinist with the Lehigh Valley Chamber Orchestra and the Bach Festival Orchestra. Robin Kani has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City and at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. among many others. She is the principal flutist of the Bethlehem Bach Festival Orchestra, Lehigh Valley Chamber Orchestra and Pennsylvania Sinfonia Orchestra. Deborah Davis is the founder and director of MADCAP (Musical Arts Day Camp of Allentown, PA), a chamber music camp for young people. She is a former member of the Houston Symphony Orchestra and taught at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN. Allan Birney is founder and Music Director of the Pennsylvania Sinfonia Orchestra and the Camerata Singers. He is Professor of Music at Cedar Crest College and is frequently festured as a piano, organ and harpsichord soloist.
