RODALE AQUATIC CENTER FOR CIVIC HEALTH OFFERS AMERICAN RED
CROSS CERTIFICATION CLASSES
New Programming for 2004-2005 Includes Child/Infant CPR Certification
Allentown, PA (August 12, 2004) - The Rodale Aquatic Center for Civic Health is pleased to announce a new course focused specifically on CPR for infants and children up to the age of 8 years as part of its American Red Cross Certification offerings for 2004-2005.
This one-time class, offered four times between October 2004 and March 2005, gives participants the skills necessary to provide basic care for breathing and cardiac emergencies until more advanced medical personnel arrive.
"Obtaining Red Cross certification through this course would be particularly valuable to anyone who works closely with children, including daycare workers, teachers and baby sitters," says Scott Rowlands, director of the Rodale Aquatic Center.
The Aquatic Center will again offer Adult CPR, Standard First Aid and CPR/AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) courses. In addition, Lifeguard Certification for new students and Lifeguard Re-certification Challenge classes will take place throughout the fall, winter and spring.
