RODALE AQUATIC CENTER FOR CIVIC HEALTH OFFERS PADI SCUBA COURSE

Allentown, PA (August 3, 2004) - The Rodale Aquatic Center for Civic Health at Cedar Crest College will once again offer a swim school course designed especially for people who would like to obtain Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) SCUBA diving certification. The classes will be held throughout August.

"PADI is the most widely recognized and respected diving certification in the world," says Scott Rowlands, Director or the Rodale Aquatic Center. "We are happy to be able to offer this opportunity to the public again."

PADI certification allows a person to SCUBA dive in open water without a master instructor. Classes will include both pool modules at Aquatic Center and open water training at Dutch Springs in Bethlehem. James Karapelou, PADI Master Instructor will conduct the classes, which are open to persons aged 10 years and up.

Dates of classes are as follows:

Tuesday: August 10th, 17th, 24th
Time - 6:30-9:00PM
Location - Rodale Aquatic Center
Wednesday: August 11th
Time - 6:30-9:00PM
Location - Rodale Aquatic Center
Thursday: August 19th, 26th
Time - 6:30-9:00PM
Location - Rodale Aquatic Center
Saturday: August 28th
Time - 8:00-2:00PM
Location - Dutch Springs, Bethlehem
Sunday: August 29th
Time - 8:00-2:00PM
Location - Dutch Springs, Bethlehem

The cost: $350.00 (includes all pool rental equipment and classroom materials). The training dives at Dutch Springs will be an additional $60.00 for rental equipment for the weekend and $22.00/day for an entrance fee.
